Why Is the Pension Amount Missing After Merging EPF Accounts with Form-13A?

Dear Seniors,

One employee worked from Jan '16 to Feb '17 at a previous company, but they did not provide the UAN number at the time of joining our company. Therefore, we generated a new UAN number. The employee wishes to merge the previous EPF funds into the current EPF account. As a result, we have prepared and submitted Form-13A to EPFO. Upon generating the passbook, we noticed that only the employee and employer contributions are reflected, while the pension amount shows as "0."

Thank you.

The pension amount will not be displayed in the passbook after the transfer. Only the years/months of contribution will be displayed in the passbook. Hope you know, pension is calculated based on the years of contribution and not based on the amount paid to the pension.

The employee does not need to worry. If he applies for withdrawal before 10 years of contribution, he can withdraw all his contributions paid to the pension.
