I have been working in a manufacturing company since 2009. The issue is that the company has not deposited the PF amount with the PF department for the last 2 years. What remedies can I seek or what actions can be taken on my part?
Please download your latest EPF passbook and take up the matter with your employer. The EPF passbook will provide details of remittance/non-remittance of EPF contributions by the employer.
If you have to ask your employer about your EPF, you may need evidence as sometimes, due to system errors, you may not be able to see your balance online.
If you want to know the exact status of your EPF, you should first raise your query under the Right to Information Act. Based on the documents you have, you have full rights to request information from EPF regarding your employer.
Directly go to the PF office; they will tell you your contribution status. If you have not contributed for 2 years, please talk to your HR; they will clarify the matter. If you are not satisfied, please give a written complaint to the Assistant PF Commissioner.
