Dear Friends,

I need your help regarding the framework for a work-from-home policy for my organization. If an employee opts to work from home at the time of the interview and is selected, what should be the appropriate leave policy for the same?

Kindly assist.

Thanks in advance :)

Hi,

The reporting heads/line manager can better make a subjective decision on whether to approve work from home. Usually, the WFH option is given when their work can be monitored, and also when deliverables can be 100% assured to be obtained. When employees are sick, they need to rest, for which leave has to be applied. However, when an employee is partially disabled (temporary), for example, if a leg is fractured, they can be given the option to work from home.

It is advisable to have limits on the WFH category.
