Minimum wages can be less then in hand salary as per law?

What is minimum wages?? Do we have an employee minimum wages can be less then his in hand salary as per law?? please advise

For each state minimum wages are different which is been declared by state govt by notification gazette. You can see copy of the same from simpliance.com. Also, the salary which is mentioned in the minimum wages notification is gross salary thus you need to maintain as per that only.

From the MW employer is permitted under the Act,certain items that can be deducted from gross MW payable subject to section 7.(3) of payment of wages Act.
