How Should HR Divide 18 Annual Leaves into Casual, Sick, and Paid Leave?

What's the formula for bifurcation, like if the company is giving 18 leaves to employees, then how should HR bifurcate it into CL, SL, and PL?

Please check with your employer about bifurcation. 18 days are towards what type of leave should be clarified by the employer or company.

In the first place, there is no mention of the type of establishment in the initial post. Secondly, no employer has the privilege to decide en bloc the maximum leave to be granted to their employees according to their whims and fancies. It all depends upon the leave provisions of the establishment-related labor law applicable.

Dear Menon,

I believe you are in Maharashtra State, and as such, the Maharashtra Shops and Establishments Act would be applicable to your establishment. Therefore, the scale and types of leave admissible to your employees would be as per Section 35 of the Act. Please refer to the relevant section for more details.
