I recently joined an import company, but there is no adherence to any statutory laws. I need to establish HR policies and ensure compliance with statutory regulations. The company is located in Wagholi, Pune, and I am unsure about the specific laws that apply there.

An import company can be anything - just importing and distributing goods to dealers, selling directly in retail to consumers through online or own retail outlets, or adding some value through retail packaging or a manufacturing process. Therefore, it can be a shop, establishment, or a factory. Please first clarify the type of establishment your industry is.

Actually, it's established as a Private Limited company and located in the Gram Panchayat area. Therefore, there is already a registered No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Gram Panchayat and an Incorporation Certificate.
