I am an HR Executive in a Labour Law consultancy. One of our employees is eligible for Maternity benefit under the ESIC Act after the amendment of January 2017. Her salary is 20k per month, and her ESIC contributions started from January 2017, paid until June 2017, i.e., 180 days' contributions deducted from her salary.
Is she eligible for the 6-month paid salary benefit under the ESIC Act?
