Transitioning from Staffing to Core HR: Will an HR Course Make Me a Strong Candidate?

I am in USA staffing with over 4+ years of experience. I would like to transition into core HR and am considering pursuing courses before making the switch. Since I do not have direct core HR experience, I am curious if companies would consider me for core HR roles after completing an HR course. I hold an MBA in HR. Please advise.
