Understanding PF Contributions: Should Pension Be Calculated on Full Basic Salary of Rs. 19,800?

Dear Seniors,

We are going to contribute the PF on basic Rs. 19,800 not restricted to 15,000. Please let me know whether pension at 8.33% shall be contributed on the full basic 19,800 or on the ceiling limit of 15,000.

PF at 15.67% will be contributed on the basic salary, i.e., 19,800.

No 8.33% will be calculated on the restricted limit of Rs 15,000/-.
