ESI Returns Clarification: Do We Need to File if All Employees Earn Over 15000?

Dear colleague,

I have a clarification on ESI returns. If the company is registered under the ESI act and all employees are earning more than 15000, there is no requirement for a monthly contribution. In this case, does the company need to file any returns? Please advise me.

If all employees' salaries are above the ESI ceiling limit, you need to send a letter to the ESIC local and regional office and mention the same in the letter.

NOTE: This can only be modified from April or October.

You will be required to file a nil return. Log into the portal and check the options.
