Construction Site Closure: Will Paying Idle Time Wages Affect ESIC/PF Deductions?

Ours is a construction company. Recently, a major accident occurred, leading to the site's closure for 20 days. We are considering paying the wages for these 20 days as idle time or pay for no work. Will this payment attract ESIC/PF deductions? Your assistance on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

20 days underpay for no work/idle time? How are you going to pay this amount? If it is through any other head other than basic, then it may not attract PF.

If wages are paid, then ESIC/EPF contribution and profession tax are also payable.
