I have received an offer letter stating that we are hiring you on a contractual basis, and the contract will be renewed after one year. Only 2 percent TDS deduction, and even that is from the employer's end. Do I get that amount back? Nothing is deducted from the in-hand salary. I do not get EPF benefits. They do not provide an appointment letter.
Contractual Employment and Cost Savings
If a company hires someone on a contractual basis, in how many ways is the company saving money by doing that? If an employee has a tenure of 2 or 3 years in their system, will he/she still be on a contractual basis? Why do call center industries do this? If an employee rebels or asks for benefits, then they terminate the contract and send him back home. Is this legal?
