Taking Over HR in a CA Firm: What Should I Focus on First to Make an Impact?

I'm taking over the current HR's position in a CA firm in India. All the processes and documents have been recently revamped. I want to see a bigger picture as to what all new things I can do to start with. Need to make a way forward. Can anybody suggest me a few questions/areas that I may look into? How do I start?

Good to see your enthusiasm. However, I suggest that you study the prevailing HR system in the firm and then come up with a plan to fill the gap. You will find plenty of resources to guide you on 'how to' and 'where to start the HR functions.' Please type 'how to start with HR' in the search key. It will help you.

There are very few possible gaps that I could find after studying their HR processes. I wanted some strategic ideas to make people adhere to the new system.
