Hi, related to gratuity, my query is: I worked for 4 years and 9 months in a company with a 6-day workweek. Am I eligible for gratuity? My duration of employment was from 17th September 2013 to 25th June 2013. Please help me with this.

They have informed me that I am not eligible due to not completing five years, and as far as I know, they are linked with LIC regarding gratuity payment. Therefore, according to the rules with LIC, they are not paying the gratuity amount.

I have already spoken with the HR of my previous company. They mentioned that they are linked with LIC and have been in contact with some HR consulting people who have informed me that I am not eligible.

Could you please provide any documents related to any government orders (GOs) that prove I am eligible? I will submit them. At the same time, please provide the document related to gratuity eligibility for a 6-day workweek.

If I submit the eligibility documents, they will be ready to pay.

If you have worked for 240 days from 17 Sep 12 to your last working day, then you will be eligible to receive gratuity.
