Facing Record-Keeping Challenges: How Long Should We Retain Statutory Registers?

Dear Seniors,

Please guide me on what should be the duration for keeping records for statutory registers as per the Factory Act and Bonus Act. We are currently facing an issue with government authorities as they are requesting records dating back 12 years, while we only have records going back 5 years.
