Leave Balance Confusion: Should LOP Be Deducted When I Have 17 Days Left?

chella_580
Sir,

Should they deduct LOP even though there is a leave balance of 17 days for me? Could you please provide the policy documents or some details?

Please assist me in this regard. This is urgent.

If you were on unsanctioned leave, then it will be considered as Leave Without Pay (LWP) only. Leaves are supposed to be pre-approved from seniors.

Hi,

If you have a leave balance and you go on an unplanned leave without applying for leave, then yes, it is considered as an LOP. It is better to apply than to go on an LOP.
