Job Offer Dilemma: Should You Show Proof to Your Current Employer?

Sedonia
Dear All,

If an employee receives an opportunity from a new organization, is it necessary for them to show proof of the offer to the existing company? Kindly suggest.

Thank you.

There is no such requirement. Normally, the company asks for the same just to compare the offer, negotiate with you, and try to hold you back if it's really possible.

If you have signed a 'non-disclosure' clause, then the company can ask for the name of your new organization. Otherwise, it is not mandatory for you to disclose the name.
