What Does the New Effective Date for the Employees Compensation Act Mean for You?

Government of India, Ministry of Labour and Employment had earlier, on 12th April 2017, released the Employees' Compensation (Amendment) Act 2017 stating that the effective date shall be notified in the near future. Thus, as per a recent notification dated 12th May, the effective date for the act has been fixed as 15th May 2017.
