Professional Tax - Submit PT Of All Branches From Head Office With One Registration ID?

Hello, I have a query regarding professional tax. We have branches all over India, and we are submitting the professional tax from our head office in Kolkata. The professional tax is deducted as per the rates of different states. So, can we submit the professional tax of all the branches from the head office with one registration ID?

No, you need to obtain state-wise registration numbers and remit the amounts in such states.

For ESI, one challan for different states is possible. That is because the remittance is to 'one authority for one rate'. Can you file a single return for 'different authorities having different rates'? Think and you will get the answer.
