Effect Of Absence Of Promotion Letter During Job Switch

SahilJ21
Hi,
I have been working at an mid size organisation since Jan 2015, I was hired as BDM which required me to take care of Sales & handle a team as well.
However, as its a small organisation and proper documentation process was never set, I just got an appointment letter that too only mentioning about my Sales compensation structure & not the compensation structure as a Team lead.
Also I have been promoted to the post of Branch Head since last 6 months for which again I don't have any documentary proof.
Now the situation is I am planning to switch over my job.
Will the absence of these documents impact my future growth ? if yes than what could be the repercussions ?
I am not comfortable in asking for these documents because it may create in my current employers mind why suddenly I want all these documents and create a doubt that I am planning to leave.
Please guide.

Yes, you are right. Absence of proper documentation will create doubt in employers mind at the time of hiring and will create problem for you. Also, at the time of joining these are the basic requirements by the organisations normally. Thus, you need to have some written proof.
