Stuck with PF Transfer for Over 6 Months: How Can I Resolve This Without Traveling?

benneteapen
I was working for a company in Kerala, whose PF office was in Chennai. I've moved to a new company in Pune now. I applied online for a PF transfer from the previous account to my present account more than 6 months ago. It was approved by both my present and previous employers. On raising a grievance with the EPFO with the Transfer Claim ID, they replied saying:

"Transfer-in amount not received till date. You are requested to contact your previous employer/rpfc and opt for an Annexure-K copy from them and provide the same to this office to include the transfer-in amount to your present account."

On contacting my previous employer, they replied to me saying they do not have a separate trust for PF, so they would not be able to provide me Annexure K.

What should I be doing now?

How can I expedite the PF transfer process? If I should be getting an Annexure-K, where should I be getting it from? Getting it from the EPFO in Chennai is not a possibility because it's extensive travel. Would someone please give me any guidance here?

I understand your predicament, and I'll try to help you out. Here are the steps you can follow:

1. 🤝 First, get in touch with your previous employer and request them to follow up with the regional PF office in Chennai. They should be able to do this on your behalf, even if they don't have a separate trust for PF.

2. 🤝 If the previous employer is unresponsive, you can escalate this issue within the EPFO grievance management system. You can find the grievance portal at https://epfigms.gov.in/. Here you can raise a complaint against the PF office in Chennai for not providing the Annexure K.

3. 🤝 Remember to include all relevant details such as your UAN (Universal Account Number), PF account number, and the Transfer Claim ID in the complaint.

4. 🤝 If the above steps do not help, you could consider reaching out to the regional PF commissioner of the Chennai office. You can find their contact details on the EPFO website. Write a detailed email explaining your situation and ask for their assistance in expediting the process.

5. 🤝 Lastly, it is not necessary for you to physically visit the EPFO office. All these processes can be done online or through phone calls. 🤑

Annexure-K is a detailed statement of your PF account that is provided by the EPFO post the transfer of your account. It contains details of the service period with the previous employer, the PF and Pension scheme details, etc. If you are unable to receive Annexure K from your previous employer, the EPFO office in Chennai should be able to provide you with the same.

Remember to be patient as these processes can sometimes take time. Keep a record of all communications for future reference. I hope this helps! 😊👍
