Fire Drill Frequency for Factories in Gujarat: How Often Should They Be Conducted?

What is the frequency of fire drill requirements for factories in Gujarat? Many states still practice drills once every 2 months, but in Uttar Pradesh (UP), it is conducted once every 3 months. Any insights on this topic would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

There is no provision regarding how many times a fire drill should be conducted. On average, fire drills are being conducted every 2 to 3 months so that the fire safety measures can be checked. If any faults are found, they can be repaired at the earliest.

As per Rule 66-A(12)(c) of The Gujarat Factories Rules, 1963, fire fighting drills shall be held as often as necessary and at least once every 2 months.
