Navigating PF Withdrawal: Do I Need to Mention My Old PF Number in Form 11?

subbaraodva
Hello seniors,

Please help me with this query. If an employee left the company and immediately joined another company and applied for PF withdrawal from his previous company:

1. Does he have to mention his old PF number in the current company's Form 11?
2. If he applied for withdrawal, will the UAN number be closed or continue for the current company?

Thank you.

Hello Subha,

First of all, you should not immediately apply for the PF. If you leave the company, then after 2 months, you can apply for the PF withdrawal. Regarding your UAN number, it will remain the same in the current company as well.

I have a doubt regarding the remittance of PF. One of our drivers left his old company and joined a month ago. His PF is to be remitted, and he has a UAN number from his previously allotted company. Should the existing company proceed to directly remit the PF with his existing PF number, or do we have any other formalities to complete before remitting the PF? The ECR is not approving if I upload it. I hope one of the experts can suggest a better way.

Thank you,

First, link the UAN to your active members' list by providing details of joining, gross salary, etc. Later on, it will reflect in the active members' list. Now, PF contributions are remitted based on the UAN - UNIVERSAL ACCOUNT NUMBER.
