Minimum Wages in Jharkhand from April 2017: How Does This Affect You?

Why is Jharkhand State not increasing the minimum wages as per the notice or draft passed in Parliament set by the Labour Ministry in Central?

Living wages: A necessity for a decent standard of living

Do you agree that a living wage should encompass providing for two children, parents, children's education, house rent, technical education for children, healthcare for six family members (2 children, 2 parents, and 2 adults), clothing, safety, security, old-age savings, and expenses for children's marriage, among others?

Minimum wages vs. living wages

Minimum wages do not cover these aspects, indicating that they do not meet the requirements of a living wage for an average person. The government does not ensure that common people can afford to live a basic, normal life.
