I worked in the company for 6 months and left due to an urgency, providing a 3-day notice period. I requested a relieving letter and informed them that I would cover any shortfall during the notice period. They calculated my Full and Final (FNF) amount and deducted the shortfall amount themselves. However, they are refusing to issue the relieving letter, citing the short notice period I gave. I have made every attempt to reach an agreement with them.

Please define "Urgency". What is the notice period as per the appointment letter? Have you submitted your resignation in person and obtained acknowledgment? What legal remedy do you expect? What was your employment position? Have you handed over charge and obtained a "No Dues Certificate"?
