Extension Of Probation Period Due To Medical Illness

Hi Everyone,
I am working in an IT Company. We have generally probation period of 3 months. One of the employee in my company is absent due to illness for complete third month. So, I wanted to know that can I extend his probation period for next month? If yes, please send me a format to do so.

You can quote relevant clauses, supporting your decision, from your HR Manual and write a letter to the employee, extending his probation term.
I think it should be plain vanila.

Kavita, As per Your Appointment terms 3 month Probation period, you can issue letter to employees & based on his reply you can process his conformation & take comments of his appraiser/ his HOD for extension of his probation for 3 month.
