Stuck with EPF Transfer: Can I Resend Form-13 to Delhi by Courier or Visit in Person?

Hello all, I have one of my old Provident Fund accounts at the Delhi South EPFO office. My present EPFO is in Chennai, and I have submitted my manual forms (Form-13) at the regional office in Chennai. Since the old company is no longer registered with digital signatures, I submitted a manual Form-13.

I have not received any updates to date. It has been a year now. The grievances closed by stating that I have not submitted the forms. I have filed an RTI (with the acknowledgment I received from Chennai) for this, and the reply I got is that I submitted the forms in Chennai, whereas they should have been sent to the Delhi South PF office.

Can I send the manual forms again?

My question is, can I send the manual forms (Form-13) again to Delhi through courier, or do I have to visit in person? If the courier format is accepted, how can we track it? Can you help me with better suggestions?

Thank you in advance.

Sathish.

If both funds are under EPF and none is regulated by a TRUST, then resubmit the manual form; it will get executed soon. You can ask the Chennai office itself for updates.

However, if the previous fund is under a TRUST, then you have to send the Form 13 duly signed by the present employer to the trustee board of the previous establishment. They will then credit the same to EPF.

Thank you for your prompt reply, U.S. Sharma. Both the PF accounts are maintained by EPF, not by any trust. Should I submit the forms again? Is there any tracking or acknowledgment mechanism available? When I raised a grievance after 3 months, they said I had not submitted any forms.

Please send by Registered Post with Acknowledgement Due to PF Office Delhi and also send a copy to PF Office in Chennai.

No need to send to Delhi, get the form filled and attested by the present employer, and submit to Chennai office itself. They will verify the present employment status and forward the same to Delhi.

For Delhi submission, you need the attestation by the previous employer too, which will be a long way to travel and do the same, so the better option is mentioned above.
