PF Deduction Dilemma: Is It Mandatory for New Employees with High Basic Pay?

OsourceHR
Hello members,

I have a query regarding PF deduction. If an employee has never been a member of RPFC and his/her basic is more than 15,000, and also if he/she signed Form 11, is it mandatory to deduct PF, or is it voluntary?

No! It is not mandatory. If at all you are willing to consider EPF, then both 12.5% of EE + 12% ER should be contributed to EPF only, and there is no EPS.

Right now, the maximum wages for PF contribution/membership eligibility are Rs.15,000/-. However, it is to be raised to Rs.21,000/- in line with ESIC.

Please stay updated.

Thanks

Sir, if the contribution is not mandatory for those whose salary is more than 15k, is there any declaration/form required from the concerned staff?
