My Boss Won't Accept My Resignation Letter – How Should I Handle This Situation?

I have submitted my resignation letter to my manager, but he is not accepting it. For the past four days, I have been asking him to accept my letter, but he is still refusing. I informed the HR department, but they mentioned that if he accepts it, then they will process it further. Please tell me what should I do. I have already notified everyone by email, but he seems to be angry with me.

If your resignation letter is in line with the notice period requirement, then the management is obligated to accept and relieve you. Utilize all channels of authority, including the highest, i.e., the CEO. The concerned manager is wrong in treating this as a personal matter. He should realize that he is working for an organization and should act according to the company's policies.
