Is Our Company's Leave Policy Compliant with Bengaluru Labor Laws?

Dear all,

In our company, the leave entitlement is specified as 20 days per employee. There is no distinction between different types of leave such as EL/SL/CL. This leave must be utilized within the same financial year; otherwise, there will be no leave encashment.

Is this system acceptable according to Bengaluru labor law? If not, what is the correct procedure to follow? Please assist me in rectifying this issue.

I would appreciate a prompt response in this matter.

If your company is registered under the Shops and Establishments Act, you can have 12 CL, 12 SL, and 15 earned leaves.

Are you working in an office or in a factory? If you are working in an office that is not in a factory, then study the Shops & Establishments Act applicable there. Otherwise, the Factories Act will apply.
