How To Engage Employees In Corporate Event Out Of Office? (restaurant/Hotels Etc)

richa.naik23@gmail.com
Hello Everyone,

I work for an Japanese IT Firm as an HR - Executive based in Pune, MH. I have to plan an event 3 or 4 times a year out of office. Having a Japanese boss it is always a challenge to impress him with my hard-work that is put in to plan these events every time. This time my boss wants to plan it on my own(as he is not willing to share his expectations). Details of the this month end party is as follows:

*Purpose - I have to plan party for 6 month End in Mar month end.

*Requirement - 1)Quiet Place, where everyone can talk among themselves and exchange chats.

2) Place should be sophisticated. 3) Place should be enjoyable and fun for everyone.

4) I have to plan event(Speech or anything) in such a way that no one is bore as always everyone is bored after half an hour (specially non alcoholic employees).

5) Prepare content of the plan for evening Party.

So can anyone help me with a nice speech or any kind of activity that can engage all 20 employees for 4 hours(7:00pm to 10:00pm)?

Please Help with your ideas

Look forward to hear from you talented HR's at the earliest.

Thanks & Regards

Dear Richa,

It is not a question of speech alone. You need to engage the employees through activities. Even in speech also, you need to highlight the achievements of the company in the current financial year. At the same time, outline what is the scope of improvement.

As far as activities are concerned, are you ready to hire external consultant? If yes, then you may hire my services. I have excellent simulations (please note that these are not mere team building games). Through these simulations, I will facilitate generation of ideas to improve the collaboration in the company. It is not just a question of tossing ideas on collaboration but at the same time, how this improved collaboration reduces the cost that also participants will tell.

I am confident of generating enough ideas so as to give ROI on the time and money that you will spend on the activity. Going further, Return on Change (ROC) will be far higher. I say this with complete conviction as I have done this simulation so many times and my past clients were completely satisfied. As such Japanese are cost-conscious. By projecting ROI instantaneously, you will get appreciation from your boss also.

Thanks,
