Made a Mistake on PF Filing: How Can I Correct the Wage Month in the New Portal?

I have submitted the monthly file return for PF Jan17 (New Portal). I wrongly mentioned the wage month as Feb 2017. How do I revise the ECR in the New Portal? The date of filing is 10.2.2017. Is it treated as a contribution in Jan 2017 or Feb 2017? I have remitted the Challan. How can I solve this issue? Can anyone please help me?

Now file the Feb challan as January 2017; it will get adjusted.

Dear Mr. Raja,

I believe there is a facility to reject the ECR. Please consult your PF office and reject the ECR for Feb 17. Then, re-upload with Jan 17. Within 12 days, ensure the ECR is authorized by the RPFC. They have the authority to change the TRRN receipt. The challan amount should remain the same.

Contact your RPFC in writing to resolve the issue.
