New to HR? How to Create Essential Policies for a Software Startup

I'm a fresher and I'm confused about how to frame HR policies for a startup company. Our company is based on software development (IT field), so please advise me on the mandatory HR policies that need to be followed in an organization.

You should start with the following policies:

Leave policy

Time & attendance policy

Dress Code policy

Ethics policy

Data security policy

Safety policy

And some procedures such as:

Hiring procedure

Training & development

Appraisal procedure

Etc.

Later, you can try to develop more policies based on the requirements.
