Resolving ESIC Contribution Transfer Issues for Continued ESI Benefits

RahulNavale
Dear Sir/Madam,

Today, when I, Rahul N K, visited the ESI hospital and ESIC office for a super specialty treatment reference letter, the ESIC officer in Chitradurga, KA, rejected my request citing the reason of "No 2-year continuous contribution." However, I left my previous job in August 2015 and joined another company in September 2015.

In the new company, a new ESI number, 858618697, was generated, and payments were made for September 2015 and October 2015. Subsequently, I requested to link the ESI number of my previous employment, 5343118454, and contributions resumed from November 2015. Unfortunately, there is a two-month gap in contributions under this ESI number, which is now causing issues in receiving ESI benefits. Can anyone provide guidance on how to resolve this issue?

Regards,
Rahul N K

At the time of joining, you must provide your old ESIC number to the new company. It is also the responsibility of all companies to provide all new members with their old ESIC and UAN if they have them. However, do not hesitate to inform your company's HR of your old ESIC number. They will need this information to insert your old ESIC number for the current month and to request a transfer of the new ESIC amount to the old ESIC number from ESIC.
