How to Correct Date of Birth for PF Withdrawal and Pension Claim? Seeking Guidance!

PF Amount Withdrawal Along Pension: I have a doubt about how to solve the following problem.

1) At the time of joining the company, he informed his date of birth as 01-04-1959 but did not submit any proof. The same date of birth was entered in company records, PF records, and ESI records.

2) As per his date of birth, he is attaining superannuation on 31-03-2017.

3) Upon submission of proof by him, we noticed his date of birth as 01-04-1953 (Aadhar, PAN card, etc.), and he has already completed 12 years of service in PF. His money has been continuously deposited in PF, EPS, and EPF up to Feb-2017.

4) Now, how can he claim his PF pension and PF amount by submitting his date of birth as 01-04-1953 instead of 01-04-1959? Also, what procedure should I follow in the PF office to change his date of birth?

The change of Date of Birth (DOB) under the Employees' Provident Fund (EPF) is not a simple procedure. They don't accept normal KYC documents as proof of DOB, but a specific set is required:

a) Birth certificate issued by the registrar of birth and death
b) Education certificate where the name/father's name and DOB are mentioned.
