Can Managers Take Labor Disputes to Court? Seeking Advice on My Situation

binup
Hello, I have worked in a company as a manager. I would like to know if I can go to the labor court as I have a dispute with the company. I have heard that a manager cannot go to a labor court as I had an employee reporting to me as a coordinator, but he does not come under the payroll of the company (off-rolls). I would like to know your valuable suggestions.

If you are a workman, i.e., you do not have a supervisory/administrative capacity and no authority to appoint, issue charge sheets, or have anyone report to you, then you come under the purview of the labor court.

In your case, although the person reporting to you is under the payroll of another company, in my opinion, you will not be treated as a workman. However, for better advice, more details of the nature of work are required, as well as the nature of the dispute you want to raise.
