HR Manager Leaving: Who Takes Over Communication Duties in Their Absence?

Hi, I am a little confused about the departure of the HR manager. Can anyone suggest who will assume the communication authority if the HR manager leaves the company? Office HR, please advise.

Dear Amber,

What do you mean by "All common authorization will go"? In the HR department, there will be someone who will take charge. If not, the Unit Head will decide until a new HR Manager is appointed. Someone will take care of the department.

Understanding Organizational Hierarchy

How big or small is your organization? Don't you know who the immediate superior of the HR person is? There is something called organizational hierarchy or pyramid. If the Head of HR is leaving, then the management or his/her superior will decide or make temporary arrangements for somebody next in line to take on the temporary authority. Since a notice period is usually required for critical or senior positions, they will use this time to recruit and find a replacement.
