and also explain about EL CL Sickleave.
Thanks & Regards
Janardhan
Hi Janardhan,
As per Karnataka S&E Act,1961 leave policy is as follows.
Earned Leaves 18 days
Sick Leave 12 days
There is no CL provision under the Act
Regards,
Keshav Reddy
Hi Reddy,
Request you to clarify on 18 days earned leaves because i read a notification of Karnataka Shops & Establishment which says employee is eligible for 1 day earned leave for every 20 working days. Kindly clarify whether my below calculation is correct.
So as per the notification below is calculation,
a) 26 working days in a month (4 sundays weekly off)
26 working days * 12 months = 312 working days in a year
Hence earned leave would be = 312/20 = 15.6 days in a year
b) 22 working days in a month (4 sundays & 4 saturdays weekly off)
26 working days * 12 months = 264 working days in a year
Hence earned leave would be = 264/20 = 13.2 days in a year
Under The Karnataka Shops & Commercial Establishments Act, 1961:
EL/PL @ 1 Day for every 20 Days work Performed-maximum 15 days Per Annum on Calendar year Basis
Accident Leave Cum Sick Leave 12 days Per Annum (Calendar Year)
10 days National festival Holiday under Karnataka National & Festival Holidays Rules
1 Weekly Holiday per Week
Hi
My friend's company HR (in Bangalore) provides them 10 EL and 14 SL- is this compliant to the law?
Shouldn't it be 13 EL for 2018- if no SL has been taken during the month?
thanks
EL is credited on the basis of his actual working days(1 leave for every 20 days work performed)..... if the employe has taken more lop's , it will be reflected on your earned leave...... read the rule carefully...
Please let me know how many sick leaves, annual leaves/casual leaves and sick leaves are permitted as per the Karnataka Shops & Commercial Establishments Act, 1961.
And also if there is an option of carrying forward the Earned leaves for next calendar year, how many leaves we can carry forward.
