Seeking Guidance on Professional Fees for HR Consultancy

I am currently on maternity leave and not working anywhere. Previously, I worked as an HR manager in a private company for five years. I have now received an offer to work as an HR Consultant and establish an HR domain in a small agency. I am eager to pursue this opportunity, but I require guidance on how to determine my professional fees for this project. The agency also expects me to implement HR practices after creating all the necessary policies and formats for them. I would appreciate your suggestions on how to determine my professional charges and payment terms.

Thank you in advance.

Work Nature and Billing for HR Consultancy

The nature of the work does not require a full-day assignment. You can effectively work from home, and if necessary, attend meetings in person. Billing can be done on a project basis. For instance, if you need to prepare an HR Policy Manual, you will require data from peer companies, survey reports from nearby industries, data analysis, report preparation, discussions, and approvals from the Director. For this assignment, your professional charges should be approximately Rs. 100,000 - 150,000. Additional logistics, such as travel, lodging, and boarding, will be charged at actual costs.

Opening that you have received is either in a consultant company (Manpower/Statutory compliance) or in an organization. You may ask for a fee based on the services rendered by you in a lump sum as agreed upon by you and the firm that is engaging you.
