Is Sandwich Leave Valid When Using a Comp-Off for a Long Weekend? Seeking HR Guidance

I am working in the software industry. We have alternate Saturday working (2nd & 4th). So I have 1 comp-off (worked on a holiday) and I want to leave on Friday and Monday (Saturday is off).

So my request to HR is to consider one day as leave and the other day as a comp-off, but as per the policies, is the sandwich leave applicable?

Please guide me.

In my view, the sandwich leave may not be applicable since compensatory off is not equivalent to leave. Thus, you are taking leave for only one day, which can be either Friday or Monday.
