How Do You Accurately Track Attendance for Remote Employees Using Excel?

Hi dear sir and madam,

I have recently joined as an HR in a company. In this role, one of my responsibilities is to maintain attendance records in an Excel sheet. However, some employees work from home on their projects. I am seeking advice on how to accurately track and maintain their attendance.

Please advise me on the best approach to manage the attendance of remote employees effectively.

Ask them to send you their login and logout times for every working day via official email with the CC of their Project Leader/Supervisor. In the same Excel sheet, create another section for WFH (work from home) and record their login and logout times accordingly.

Hi Fairoz,

Even you can send out an email to all employees stating that whenever they opt for the WFH option, they should also mark HR in the email so that it does not result in LOP.

Additionally, you can keep the attendance register in the front office and ask employees to enter their login and logout details. After that, you can have an entry of it weekly.
