Struggling with Low Turnout for Experienced Dot Net Developer Walk-ins? Let's Share Strategies

Sowmya Malla
Hello All,

I have organized several walk-in drives for freshers, but organizing an experienced walk-in drive, especially for Dot net developers, has been a challenge for me. I'm currently targeting certain paid and unpaid job portals, but the expected response versus the actual candidates walking in has varied to a great extent. Kindly suggest some tips or areas where I can focus for a successful hire with the experienced walk-in.

Suggestion for Organizing Walk-in Drives

I would suggest conducting a walk-in drive on Saturdays, as many software companies work five days a week. Experienced job seekers will find time to attend only on Saturdays. Nowadays, I don't think people have time to look for postings and then walk in. Go for mass emails, use some tips like designing a template in Paint or some innovative ideas, and then pass it on to their email IDs.

Before going for mass emails or mail merge, refine your search by mandatory key skills. For example, for .NET, identify the exact skills your company is looking for, such as WCF, WPF, and C#. Refine the search and then send them across. If you have access to mass messaging portals, you can also send SMS.

Regards, Sowmya
