Please let us know if an employee joined on April 1, 2017, with a salary of 17k and no ESIC contribution. But now, starting from January 2017, we need to deduct his ESIC contribution. So, when we generate his IP number, which date should we mention as the date of appointment?

I have one doubt in ESIC (Are incentives a part of gross salary?) If his salary goes beyond the ESIC limit, what should we do if we add incentives? Incentives are not on a monthly basis; they depend on profit, specifically 20% of production profit.
