How Long Does It Really Take to Recredit a PF Claim After Submitting the ASR Form?

Pranayg
Hello everyone,

I was facing the same issue as my bank account was inactive, and the claim was returned. The EPFO officer informed me to submit the ASR form. I have submitted it through my employer, and it's been 2 months. According to my employer, it usually takes a minimum of 6+ months.

Could you please let me know how long it normally takes to get recredited? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Handling Returned Claims

Once a claim is returned, it often gets stuck between the administrative and accounts sections due to formalities. Here, the employer or their representative has a minimal role in following up. If the fault lies with either the member or their banker, the employee must take certain steps. The employee needs to activate their bank account, print some transactions dated on the current date on their passbook, obtain a certificate from the banker confirming that the account is KYC compliant and active, and then visit the EPFO office. A reissue proforma is enclosed herewith for submission.
