Suddenly Fired Without Notice: Can I Seek Compensation and What Should I Do Next?

Bonzie
I don't know what to say. I've posted an ad earlier asking for opinions. What should I do if the company fired me without giving a notice period or a proper explanation for the termination? Should I be eligible for compensation from the company? I have carefully read the terms and conditions in the appointment letter of that company. I was working in a reputed BPO sector, and all of a sudden, I have been jobless for the past 2 months with no income. I have to take care of my elderly mother, so please help me and advise on what to do in this situation.

BPO Service Compliance and Employee Rights

"BPO Service" falls under the IT & ITES industry, which is generally exempt from compliance with the Shops and Establishment Act as per the notification. However, relief could still be sought regarding the following:

1) Write a letter to your company stating that the practice of natural justice was not followed during your removal. Also, request notice period pay. If you were eligible for PF or ESI, check if your contributions have been paid.

2) Send this letter by registered post.

3) If there is no reply within 7 days, contact the area labor inspector and file a complaint.
