Facing Health Issues at Work: What Happens If I Quit and Join a Competitor Now?

pbharti19
I have been working in an educational organization for the past two months. I do not wish to continue in this organization as this job is affecting my health badly. The person under whom I work believes that once he hires someone, they are his slaves. He calls at odd hours and exhibits other inappropriate behaviors. I am willing to forgo my month's pay, as I am still on probation, instead of giving a month's notice. At the same time, I have an opportunity in another educational organization, which is a competitor of my current organization. Please suggest what consequences I may face if I resign immediately and join the competitor.

If you resign without notice pay and with immediate effect against the terms of your employment, then the company can recover the amount of notice at maximum. However, if you require a relieving letter or experience certificate, then the current employment may create an issue.

Dear Ma'am,

It's great to see that you have a job in hand. This indicates that you have learned here, and now your profile is in better demand. Just submit a resignation letter without drawing anybody's attention, thank all your colleagues and management, and request to be relieved on or before your 30th day. Take it easy and behave as a mature professional. Take note of all the good things, as it is your first experience.

Best wishes,
RDS Yadav
