Dear member, IT companies/units/factories/establishments (with whatsoever name you may call) are amenable/covered under all labour laws including ESI Act, 1948 and rules/regulations framed thereunder. However, in case of coverage under ESI Act, 1948 the area where said establishment is located should be an implemented area under section 1(3) of said Act. In case of any doubt about coverage of establishments in which you are working, it will be more better to approach the nearest appropriate office of ESIC.
