Thank you for sharing that file. Also, dear Mr. N. Mohan, don't worry about it. New e-return tools will be available on the EPFO website. All EPFO websites (epfindia.com, ECR portal, online transfer portal, UAN portal, etc.) are currently closed for updates. The new websites are listed below:

For Employers:

Thank you for the file formats. However, I am unable to log in to either the EPF unified portal or PMRPY. After entering my username and password, it redirects me back to the home page of the EPF unified portal. I have tried clicking on "forgot password" to reset my password and log in, but the page is not loading at all. With the deadline approaching, I am feeling anxious as I am still unable to log in.

UAN numbers of last month's recruits have not been loaded on the site. For December, I have 4 new recruits. How are we supposed to create their UAN numbers and then generate ECR before the 15th of January?

EPF Unified Portal

The 6th of January 2017 has passed. I just tried to open the PF Portal, but to no avail. Any good news.

EPF Portal is working fine after office hours, i.e., from 6 PM to 8/9 AM.

Gross salary in ECR means the salary earned for the month. NCP days refer to the days when the employee has taken leave, and salary is not paid.

Please clarify.

Please find the attached ECR template; you may find it useful.

For all active members' UANs, please download the .CSV file from active members' details. After downloading the file, open it and convert the UAN number column from General to Number, decrease the decimal, and verify all UANs with member ID and name.

If you find that the UAN numbers of last month's recruits have not been generated or linked, please generate UANs for the previous month's recruits first with bulk member registration.

Gross wages are the total amount an employee is paid before any taxes, deductions, insurance premiums, and other withholdings.

These days, working on the EPF Portal is so damn painful. One just gets an error at every single step for UAN KYC Edit, Employee New Registration/Entry, UAN generation, or marking the exit of employees.

If ECR is filed without registering for PMRPY scheme, can we claim the arrears afterwards?

For arrears filing, the attached text file can be used. However, as you know, these Excel sheets are prone to a lot of errors and are a very time-consuming activity. The alternative to this would be to shift to a cloud payroll software. It takes care of all the grunt work, is 100% compliant, and drastically reduces processing time.

Go to ECR upload, select download, then choose the month December and year 2016. Next, select ECR or arrears (whichever you want to download) and click. An Excel CSV file will be downloaded where all active UANs will be displayed. Then proceed on...

I have created UAN numbers for all new employees of Jan-17, and contributions have also been deposited. Now I want to upload their KYC details as I received this information very late. Additionally, I need to edit certain details such as bank account numbers and mobile numbers of a few old members. I am unable to make these edits in the unified portal, and the UAN member portal is also not functioning properly. Members want to know the status of their updated accounts. Could you please suggest a remedy for this situation?

Adding multiple bank accounts is not barred in EPF as KYC.

If the employee has access to his passbook by logging in the member portal, then the employee itself can change the mobile number, or they can make a call to the UAN helpdesk at 18001-18005. After the employee's verification with the data in their records, they will register his request for a change of mobile number.

From the employer's side, it was never possible to change the mobile number of an employee.
