Confused About PF Transfer? Will I Get a New UAN or Can I Use My Existing One?

imran_ilu49
Hi all, I am from Gujarat. I have changed my job and need to transfer my PF online. I have a UAN and KYC completed at the previous organization. I have followed the procedure through the employer login by clicking on "confirm previous employment." However, currently, this function is disabled with a message stating that all members would be treated as new, and a UAN will be generated by the system. I already have a UAN number. Will they generate another UAN for me?

Now, how can I transfer my PF? Should I submit Form 13 manually, or should I wait for an online procedure? Kindly help me to sort out this issue.

Thanks
Glidor
If the confirmation of previous employment has been authorized by the present employer, then the old UAN is already seeded with the present employer. In that case, you have to log in to https://uanmembers.epfoservices.in/ and check that the present employer is displayed in your passbook section.

In the passbook menu, it says "Latest passbook will be available only after 4 days for New UAN login activated members."

How to seed or connect my old UAN to present employer? Do you have any procedure that is supposed to be followed?

Note that I have already paid PF for the previous month with the new EPF number allotted in the current company.

Kindly do the needful, sir.

Confirm previous employment option is disabled by PF authority, that's why it's not done yet. Now suggest how to transfer my PF online?

To transfer your PF online, you can follow these steps:
1. Visit the official EPFO portal.
2. Log in to your account using your UAN and password.
3. Go to the 'Online Services' section and select 'Transfer Request'.
4. Fill in the required details such as previous employer's details, current employer's details, and the reason for the transfer.
5. Submit the transfer request online.
6. Once the request is processed and approved by the authorities, your PF will be transferred to your current account.

If you encounter any issues during the online transfer process, you can reach out to the EPFO helpline for assistance.

At the time of joining the present company, were you asked to submit your UAN number or not? The present company considers this as your first employment, so they have generated a new UAN number for you. You can transfer your previous PF number to the present company by visiting the website https://uanmembers.epfoservices.in and obtaining approval from both companies.

Alternatively, you can withdraw the PF amount from your previous company by submitting the UAN-based claim documents. This way, you can continue with the new UAN number with your present employer.

Wait for some time. After 21st December, the portal will start working again, and you can file a transfer claim at http://memberclaims.epfoservices.in/ through this site (digital signature attestation required for both establishments). Alternatively, you can file a claim with the present UAN at this portal http://oeoea.epfoservices.com/UANDEDUP/ (One Employee, One PF) but are advised to wait for a week as the system is undergoing a change process.

Thank you, U.S. Sharma, for your valuable suggestion. I would like to inform you that I submitted my UAN number to the current organization at the time of joining. A new UAN has not been generated at all. Also, a new PF number has been generated under the same UAN with the current company. However, due to ongoing portal maintenance, I am unable to link my new PF number to the UAN number. Additionally, for 10 days in the previous month, PF contributions have been paid under the new PF number. So, I will wait for some time to transfer online claims as suggested by you.

Thanks & Regards
