As per directives of Government Of India, a campaign has been launched at various places to open bank accounts of those employees who do not have their own bank account till date.
The Government Of India has advised all the employers to ensure payment of wages / salary to all their employees including temporary staff, contract workers, casual workers, etc. only through Bank Account.
You are therefore advised to get bank account open by your all employees including contract workers as it has become necessary to ensure the payment of wages / salary only through Bank Account.
It is the principle employer's responsibility to ensure that wages / salary of all employees including contract workers, temporary staff, casual workers, etc. are made only through Bank Account. Govt. departments like PF, ESIC are going to organize special camps to facilitate workers who have not yet been able to open bank accounts.
